Boundaries of Sanity by Mira Saraf – Book Review

Boundaries of Sanity by Mira Saraf – Book Review

Boundaries of sanity by Mira Saraf is a compilation of short stories. It is a really short book of 60 odd pages and 5 short stories. I really wish this was a longer book, there was more to read. The wonderful stories leave you craving for more. And I am sure you would agree with me when you read this one. It is the kind of book that makes you feel sad when finished because you wanted more.

I was attracted to this book by the title and yet somehow for the very same reason I had apprehensions. But the past reviews of the book were excellent and I decided to go ahead with it. And I am so glad I did!

Each of the five short stories is different and engaging. It has characters you would identify with and yet find alien. You may not have experienced the weirdness of the characters or the extreme pain or confusion they are going through, but you would find yourself connected somehow.

The dark shadows of alcoholism, anxiety, guilt is what marks each story. The characters will leave you feeling overwhelmed and in deep thought.

I loved her writing style. The narration is so engaging. I have not read any other book of hers but after this one I totally would love to read more of her work.

I really cannot declare which of the stories was my favorite. Each of them was a wonderful creation. Each had me totally captivated.

Boundaries of Sanity by Mira Saraf is one book I absolutely recommend. It is a refreshing change. The beauty of short stories is that you don’t leave all work and get engaged with the book. You simply come devour one story and can get back to whatever you were doing. For me as a mom this book was a perfect dose of entertainment!

Would make a wonderful binge read too! After all each story would make you ask for more.

Make your time and do read and share what you loved about this book.
