Fitness / Weight Loss Journal – Day 1

Today is the first day of my project fitness/ weight loss journal 2023. I am excited to do this and I hope that I do manage to get good results that inspire you as well as make me happy.

The main goals for the month of February are:

  1. Follow my diet chart that I have created for myself as per quantified nutrition, keeping my BMR and TDEE in mind
  2. Clean eating
  3. Walk 10k steps each day
  4. Workout 4-5 days at the gym, rest 2 days yoga

So today was good in terms of diet, except for a bowl of kheer (rice pudding) I ate with my daughter. This is the spiral of my diet that I am endlessly falling into… eat regret and yet again eat. And yet at least today I do not feel demotivated, I am positive that I will make this work this year. I will bring about a transformation that will make myself proud.

This is one thing I feel proud of, no matter how many times I fail, I do not give up. I am so very proud of my consistency with workout. Somehow I feel expressing my emotions in this weight loss journal is going to keep me more disciplined around diet as well.

Completed my 10 k steps, literally walking around the house while I took calls or was listening to an audio book. Today was a break from gym.

“The body achieves what the mind believes.”

So do not stop believing and do not stop taking action. Know that the only motivation that works is self motivation. Another person can only motivate us so much.

I use to teach management graduates but post my daughter happened my time at home gave me chance to explore my other passions. Now as she is 5 year old I am still not ready to leave her and return to work.
