Fitness/ Weight Loss Journal – Day 2

Today did not start on a high. I woke up slightly sleepy and tired. I would have probably slept longer had there been no school for my daughter. Since no yoga class was scheduled for 7 am, I had planned to go to gym. But the sleepy me in the morning just wanted to sit and sip tea.
But I pushed myself, to go and do whatever is possible. The body always prefers inaction to action, but I decided to step up for myself and I am so proud that I did. I started my day with a great upper body workout. I came home and did some yoga and pranayama to recharge myself. And ended it all with a hearty breakfast of Spinach omlette and toast.
And that brings me to my favourite quote….
“You will not always be motivated, so you must learn to be disciplined.”
A day that starts on the right note obviously goes well. Though sleepiness was a highlight of the day and so I took a short nap in the afternoon.
I followed my diet and their was no deviation, except for the tomato sauce and the pickles. I think I can work that out by adding more spices and chilly to my meals.
I stepped out for a short walk in the evening just to complete my 10K steps.
If there is one thing I would like to change about today, it is that I ate a little more than my hunger in my breakfast even though I was not hungry. It is also important that alongside a diet chart we listen to our body.
We generally always have a plan for what we will do when we are hungry(like I keep cucumbers handy for hunger pangs, low on calories and I find them yummy too), but we disconnect to the body when we eat. Many a times we eat so we do not feel hungry later. But in that moment if your body is asking you to stop, it is best to stop.
I hope I could inspire you out there to make a difference tomorrow even if your today was not so good. And on the closing note…. never look back after you have taken your learning from the past. Love and Light 🙂
