Fitness/ Weight Loss Journal – Day 28- February Round up

I have wanted to write this for the last four days but just could not get myself to do it. With daughter down with viral and then myself infected I was just on a roll.
I had started February on a high. Even though I tried my best, I could not make it the February I wanted. I got injured and then my daughter was down with a bad viral which she decided to share with me. As long as I was fine even with her unwell I was doing my best to stay on track with my diet and a little bit of exercise here and there. But once I got infected there was no longer any way I could keep up with anything.
The good that this journal gave me was an overview of how my February went. Sometimes we think that we work out regularly missing out completely on the days we are not able to. And then we tend to wonder why we are not reaching our goals. Writing it all down gives a perspective of what really is happening. Tracking yourself helps you see better how many times you are really faltering. Tracking is the most important part of achieving any goal.
I am still recovering and I have an impending move around the corner, so I know March is going to be not so easy. But I know even in midst of all that I can accommodate my healthy eating pattern and a workout 4 days a week. Yoga of course is a non negotiable activity every day of the week. And thankfully my students ensure that I always show up on the mat.
I would not write here every day ( also because many days I do not have much meaningful to share) , but yes I intend to write ever week once sharing how my week went by, what were my wins, where I faltered and what were my learnings if any.
As a conclusion to February, I want to say that self-love should be central to any fitness plan. There would be days when everything will fall in place and then days when everything would fall apart. Do not be disheartened and do not be guilty of not achieving what you aim for. The voice in your head should always tell you… You can do it, no matter what!
