Fitness/ Weight Loss Journal – Day 4- Not the best day
Hangover of yesterday’s basketball continued… and I woke up broken even more. Started the day with a pain killer it was that bad. Wanted tea badly but somehow managed with a black coffee, and beleive you me it did a better job than tea often does.
It gave me the strength to get on the mat for a restorative yoga session. I practiced for 40 mins followed by 15 minutes of yoga nidra and I was better prepared to conquer the day, not in my best form though.
Diet was on most part followed. But since I quantify my diet I am not allowed anything beyond what is on the chart, even though it may be healthy. Otherwise the whole purpose of quantifying is lost. (if you would like to get a quantified diet plan for yourself feel free to get in touch with me)
I took a nap post lunch and was feeling much better when I woke up. Went to the gym to play some more basketball 😉 Brave I am. But the idea was to cure sore muscles you must continue activity. But today I was short on time as my daughter had a play date. So I just got enough time to fit in some lower body workout and we were back.
On a day like today we often feel disheartened, but the point to see here is that you cannot always have the best circumstances. Every day will be different. Just when you feel you have got the hang, the challenge would appear. But one must gather the motivation and carry it to the next day. Do not carry the regrets that make you feel low. Carry the fire, fueled by the setback.

And yes just keep moving forward.
Closing with a very beautiful thing I learnt today about goals… instead of making goals about where you want to reach, make goals what you need to do to bring a change. Pave the path and the destination would be easy to find. So if you wish to run 5km break it down to smaller goals and think of the action that you need to take right away. That action is your goal. Because actions are what are in our control. And if you are taking actions could you be far from the final destination?
I am all motivated for tomorrow. I have to show up and do better than today because even if one person could be motivated by reading my reflections…. My work here is done!
