Fitness/ Weight Loss Journal Day 6 – Monday Madness

Monday madness goes in my favour actually. It takes away my attention from food. In fact that is a mantra to staying fit – stay busy. Boredom leads me to food. Weekdays start at 4.45 am, and it is a madhouse. Getting my daughter ready and getting her lunch box ready at the same time, serving her breakfast while making her plaits. Well the list is endless. Thanks to all that I accomplish a lot of steps by the time she leaves for school.
Then the yoga classes, my trip to the gym ( today was a happy holiday at gym :)). Lunch, house cleaning, and what not. Life of a work from home mom aint easy, no coffee’s served on desk. But I love these rush rush days as much as I love the days I drop it all and laze on the couch binge watching some stupid show.
So today was that rush rush days. Monday I have maximum yoga classes. I guess everybody is enthusiastic to start the week on a good, energetic note.
Diet wise I am glad I aced another day. Being busy food was last thing on my mind.
Workout wise it was an off day for me, just the evening walk so I can sleep well.
I had not slept well last night. The reason being my afternoon nap. So I was again sleepy around lunch time.
I chose to meditate and trust me I am fresh as a flower even now :). I highly recommend meditating each day. I have been meditating for over 20 years and I cannot narrate the benefits I have derived. Do read this post if you have never meditated before. And feel free to connect with me. I also conduct free guided meditation sessions on weekends.
Meditation reduces stress and a stress free mind is a sign of fitness. Stress can lead to poor sleep, weight gain and many other health problems.
I hope my reflections were of use to you and inspired you.
Love and Light 🙂
