Fitness / Weight Loss Journal Day 9

Waking up was comparatively easier today because I slept in time last night and also took that mid afternoon nap.

Was having a bit of lower back tension so started the day with some lower back stretches. After my morning yoga class I rushed to the gym. Now a days I have a gym buddy and that is

  1. Keeping me accountable
  2. Making my workout time super fun.

Did a check and shoulder workout today. And I can feel the soreness.

Came back and post bath and my mantra chanting meditation had a healthy breakfast of broccoli and cheese Omelet along with 2 toasts and a nice cup of black coffee.

I gave in to the urge to watch TV for a while and got captivated with this new series. Wasted a major portion of my day watching that. And as a result I was glued to the couch and could barely manage completing my daily target of 10k steps.

Evening my daughter had her tantrums pulling me down emotionally.

All in all a slow boring day did not finish much except for a mandatory blog that I was to finish. But I guess some days will always be like that – messy, scattered all over the place. On such days I prefer to give myself grace. To accept the day as it is with gratitude. Should I not be grateful for having the choice to waste a day without losing much. Should I not be grateful for a mid day nap.

I am grateful that it is alright if I slow down once in a while. Everything else still stays the same.

And writing this here pondering over my day makes me feel so much better and so much blessed.

I use to teach management graduates but post my daughter happened my time at home gave me chance to explore my other passions. Now as she is 5 year old I am still not ready to leave her and return to work.
