Merging Goals – #Writeapageaday meets my Fitness Journal!

My two major goals for 2023 are – to be my fittest version and to write as much I can and more. And for both these goals the one mantra or rule that drives me – absolutely no excuses. And yet everyday life comes in the way!
I am exhausted and anxious end of the day and end up taking a bite ( or maybe more ) of that cake, I made for my darling daughter. Or it’s the weekend and I tell myself yet another time – “one last time”.
Everyday I want to write but I procrastinate and before I know the day is over, so even though January has seen a better me in terms of both my goals, I am yet far from where I want to be.
So to take things to the next level I decided to bring both my goals together. I am participating in February 2023 in write a page-a-day challenge being run on Blogchatter. So I decided the theme for writing this whole month would be my fitness journal.
Now Journaling is very powerful. It helps you dig deeper into yourself and understand why and where you are. It helps you analyse things better. The kind of clarity that journaling brings is phenomenal. In some ways journaling is also like meditating as it helps you peel the layers of your thoughts.
A fitness journal or sometimes also referred to as a weight loss journal, is one of the best ways to stay accountable on your fitness journey. A lot of workout and meal trackers are there to log what we eat and how we stay active. But if one is struggling one needs to write their thoughts down. Analyse the mistakes they make and what leads to it. This helps them understand where they are struggling and what can be done to make it better. I will talk more about a fitness journal in another post.
Now I know the secret to staying fit. I know all about healthy and good food choices, but staying committed is not easy. Accountability is what makes us stay committed. So in the month of February 2023 I am going to put up my daily fitness journal on my blog. I am going to write every day what I ate, how I worked out and where I faltered and I will share many more learnings with you.
I hope to motivate some of you out there in the process. And I also welcome you to share your day in the comments, I would absolutely love to have partners to team up with. I am super excited to start this!
